1. 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427 LS6

The 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427 LS6 is probably the finest one among all the Chevelles. This muscle car is so awesome that it managed to fetch a staggering $1,150,000 at the 2013 Mecum auto auction!

Not one unit of the 1967 Shelby GT500e was ordered when it was first introduced as a specially-ordered car in the 1960’s. Today, the Super Snake is now one of the most desired muscle cars in the world. Sold at the Dana Mecum 26th Original Spring Classic Auction with a price of $1,300,000, the 1967 Shelby GT500e Super Snake is undoubtedly the rarest and most expensive Mustang ever sold.

3. 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible

Only 14 Hemi Cudas were produced during the 1970’s, and this unit right here is among the selected ones that were equipped with a 727 three-speed transmission. To top it all off, this 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible only travelled a total distance of 19,000 miles, which is quite surprising considering its age. There’s no wonder why a collector actually shelled out $2,000,000 for this gem.

4. 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible

If you think those 14 units of 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible are rare then think again. With only 11 units produced, the 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible is even harder to find that its predecessors. It doesn’t come as a surprise that this muscle car was sold for $2,200,000.

Corvettes are some of the most classic muscle cars in the market. Die-hard Corvette fans know that the 1967 L88 is the rarest Chevrolet Corvette model that was ever produced, with only 20 units offered in the market. This particular 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 managed to keep all its original body panels intact, making its price go up to $3,200,000.

Another 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible on the list, but this one has a whopping price tag of $3,500,000! The price isn’t actually surprising, especially because this particular unit is one of the two Hemi Cudas that boast an original four-speed transmission and Hurst shifter.
